The Off-Season

In South Florida, football has always been and will continue to be "king." Due to last off-season's acquisitions of the "Three Kings," many argue that basketball may overtake football, not so. Although, "The 3 Kings" will help Dolphin fans get through the off-season by providing them with a distraction until the season comes back around - whenever that is - at this rate who knows when the season will start. Anyway, this past college football season has been a great one for FIU fans, alumni, and the nearby community that supports the team.
In barely 10 years of existence, the FIU Football program are conference champions (co-champions, but whatever. .) and Little Ceasers Bowl Champs. It was exciting to be there to witness history in the making for such a young hard working coaching staff and players alike. Hopefully next season we can look forward to playing a bowl game in a much warmer climate. Detroit was too cold!

As the program continues to grow, I will continue to do my best to inform and educate the "Panther Nation." Hopefully we can find a way to encourage and get more individuals to support the basketball program and the other inter-collegiate sports on campus.

Be on the look out for several interviews with several of your former Golden Panther athletes, Julius Eppinger, Paul McCall, Anthony Gaitor, Scott Bryant and others.

CP, You always rep the FIU cause. The program is rising and we're happy to have you helping the community stay informed. Last season was a blast and as you know, we've only just begun. Thanks for all you do for the gold and blue of FIU. As always, Go Panthers!
