INSIDER: They Call It a Respectful Rivalry

They call it a respectful rivalry. They call it that because Miami and Florida State have been programs that have mirrored each other in so many ways since the 80's, and each school's flock of fans, no matter how disparaging they are to each other, know that both schools have had a major impact on college football.

Miami last won in 2009, in Tallahassee, as Jacory Harris led Miami to a 38-34 win.  While Florida State  has won the last seven match ups, the last three have only been decided by a total of 10 points. The Canes are getting closer to getting back in the win column in this rivalry.

FSU brings in a back up quarterback and a 1-2 record. The Canes haven't lost a game since October 29th last year in a close loss against the Irish in South Bend. Miami has momentum going and a pent up frustration from having not beaten Florida State since the first decade of this millennium. Will this be the year that the Canes are able to finally beat their brothers from up north? I said Miami would win 31-17 and I'm sticking to it. I have a gut feeling about this CMR (coach Mark Richt) team. And since I still have a sizable gut to feel with, I think I'm on to something here. Canes will get the W.
