Ethan Skolnick and Curtis Stevenson kick off the show applauding Roger Federer’s remarkable Wimbledon performance and illustrious career. Curtis thinks it’s a shame that Federer won’t be considered on the Rushmore of sports because tennis isn’t a mainstream sport. The guys list different timeless, aged athletes in different sports. ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne joins the show from the airport to discuss the NBA Summer League and the incoming rookies, the Carmelo trade rumors, Paul George’s fit in OKC, Lonzo Ball, and LeBron’s free agency next year. Ethan and Curtis debate different teams Lebron could end up on, why, and what their shot at the title would be. Captain Curtis debates with South Florida texters about why Andrew Wiggins wouldn’t have been a championship piece for the Cavs. With the McGregor-Mayweather trash talk becoming cruder, the guys go over some of the sound from last night. Curtis doesn’t believe there should have been four straight days of pressers and Ethan is tired of the same trash talk material being used over and over. Kevin Iole joins the show to talk about the McGregor-Mayweather pressers and fight. Ethan and Curtis look at the Heat’s Summer League team and who could make an impact in the regular season. Ethan dissects the Paul George-Klay Thompson near-trade. The crew talks Dolphins and if they’ll be better next season. They break down Miami’s schedule. Ethan and Curtis try to figure out who they sound like after a texter compares The Captain to Brian from Family Guy.
